Location Description
Otter Pointe Resort is a new four-season, pet-friendly glamping resort that opened on October 31, 2023. It was a trailer park for almost 50 years, and it used to be a fishing camp for American fishermen in the 1800s. Located on 15 private acres of land with 1,900 feet of Pimisi Bay waterfront, the resort features two geodesic domes “Wild Rose” and “Spring Violet” with kitchenettes, electric heat/AC, and wood stoves. The renovated cabin “Black Lily” sits 5 feet from the shoreline and features a kitchenette, wood stove, electric heat and a private fire pit near the water. There is a bathroom building close to the rental units that features 4 bathroom suites, each with heated floors, sink, toilet, and shower. Other amenities on the property include 4 campsites, 2 new barrel saunas, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, hammocks, and lawn games.
In addition, the resort is renovating two buildings. The first one is a peanut/nut free bakery named Otterly Delicious. The other one is a second cabin named Sunset Orchid that’s located near a point of land surrounded by 260 degrees of water at one end of the property. This cabin also features a kitchen, a wall of windows that overlook the lake, and a private bathroom. The owner lives on the property. Talon Chutes falls into Pimisi Bay, and the falls can be accessed by a 30-minute canoe or kayak ride.
