Location Description
The 3 km stretch of road between Campbell Street to the St Clair Parkway moves between 4 lanes to 2 and is lined with industrial and chemical plants. The St. Clair Tunnels are two CN rail tunnels to Port Huron and are visible from the Vidal Street overpass. The original 7,000' tunnel was built in 1891 and closed when the newer, larger 6,129' tunnel was opened in 1995. It is a National Landmark for both the US and Canada.
