Location Description
Park area at the mouth of the Rouge River. Two distinct geographical features define this area: a marsh area on the north side of the entrance road and a white sand beach on Lake Ontario. Rouge River and its main tributary Little Rouge Creek flow through this undeveloped area. Beach with lifeguard station and change rooms. Grey steel pedestrian bridge leads to lookout and Pickering. Directly beside pedestrian bridge is old rusted trussel bridge (in use). Walkway under train bridge leads to beach area with view of Pickering Power Point. Small parking areas near entrance. Trails along the Rouge River, stone gate entrance to trail. Twyn Rivers Drive is a winding parkland road with a vehicular bridge. Washroom and change room structure, 2 lifeguard towers, graffiti covered lifeguard storage building, campground area.
