Location Description
This building was built in 1840 by the Wood Family, United Empire Loyalists, using the stone from the Cornwall Canal. Three generations of the Wood family lived there, until 1952 when the last surviving member died a bachelor. A few years later, it became Cornwall’s first museum, housing information about pioneers in the area at the time. The interior has been restored, and features displays of period furniture, textiles, and other household items from different time periods, as well as archival material in a separate room.
