Location Description
Pakenham is a small community known for the 1901 stone bridge spanning the Mississippi River. The bridge has five 40 foot arches, is 268' in length, 25' wide, stands 22' high and is the only one of it's kind in North America. There main street boasts an 1840 stone general store and clapboard homes. There are several large churches including the hill top St. Peters Celestine Catholic Church built in 1892.
