Location Description
Built in 1919. Three hinged concrete and steel arch bridge. 490 meters long and 40 meters high. Upper deck supports 6 lanes of traffic. Lower deck supports railway lines which have been used by the subway system since 1966. The bridge spans the Don River Valley, which has wide banks for parkland and bicycle trails, the 6 lane Don Valley Parkway, the Bayview Expressway and rail tracks. In 2000, a luminous veil of steel rods and cables were added to the sides of the bridge.
