Grand River Street North downtown has approximately 2 blocks of quaint period storefronts including cafes, bakeries, cheese shops and restaurants. Grand River runs to the east of core. Shops backing onto river can be seen from William St Bridge. It has buildings with various architectural styles like Post Modern, Victorian, Gothic and Edwardian. It also has many cobblestone buildings such as the Paris Baptist Church and a few residences. Diagonal parking on some roads. There is a park with a bandshell and a playground. It has a small-town look.
