Location Description
This Conservation Area is 27 hectares and includes a 10.7 metre waterfall, hiking trails, boardwalks, lookouts, picnic areas, playgrounds and museum with exhibits of fossils, artifacts and wildlife from the Carolinian area. Stairs along the sides of the gorge access a bed-level crossing traversing the Hobbs-Mackenzie Drain, a creek upstream from the Ausable River. The waterfall is easily accessed and the resulting stream is walkable. The area is home to a fossil deposit that visitors are allowed to remove.
