Location Description
York Durham Heritage Railway operates a variety of period train equipment at their facility in Uxbridge that features a period train station. The operational trains run on a private line through the Oak Ridges Moraine between Uxbridge and Stouffville. Train equipment includes 2 operational diesel engines, 6 passenger cars from 1954 (called “buds”) that include 2 dining cars, several former ONR /Ontario Northland Railway cars including a snack car, entertainment car, and passenger car. Other equipment includes a Baggage car and a Rules car (with school type set up). Station includes small train museum, wood paneled waiting room and traditional ticket counter.
